Our Junior Infant class published their Proclamation for a New Generation! The future is in good hands!

School Photography Day took place  on 1st March. It included a whole school photograph for our 1916 project.

Great excitement in the school with a visit from the National Reptile Zoo to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the school building. This event was made possible through the voluntary contributions of parents. Well done to all the pupils who made such excellent reptile projects!

Good Golly Miss Molly #bravefighter. Susan Mullen from the Balscadden Parents' Association presents a cheque to the Molly McNally Miracle Trust from the proceeds of the sale of our personalised Christmas cards.

Minister for Education and Skills Jan O'Sullivan took a special interest in our Science Fair project 2016.Well done to our pupils who answered her questions so confidently! She was very impressed with the project!

Junior and Senior Infants are doing Music Makers workshops each Tuesday for 4 weeks with Maria Sheil (started 13th January)

  • Book Fair  on Wednesday, 30th November and Thursday, 1st December. Parents welcome 9am-3pm on both days.

  • Christmas Quiz on Friday, 2nd December at 7pm. Doors open at 6.30pm.

  • Christmas Fair: Sunday, 4th December 9.30-2pm. Christmas raffle, Lucky Dip, Bake sale (all donations welcome), crafts created by school pupils etc.

  • Christmas Choir Nights on 7th and 8th December at 8pm.

  • Santa Visit on Wednesday, 21st December.

  • Christmas closure: The school closes for the Christmas holidays on Thursday, 22nd December at 12pm. The school re-opens on Monday, 9th January, 2017.

  • St Benignus Day was celebrated in the school on Friday, 18th November. Big Bear Planetariums visited and tied in with our Science Week activities. This visit was made possible thanks to the Voluntary Contributions of parents.

  • Sacraments: Confirmation will take place on Wednesday, 10th May, 2017 at 12 noon in Ss Peter and Pauls Church in Balbriggan. First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday, 20th May, 2017 at 12 noon in Balscadden Church.

  • Communion Preparation Programme: Balbriggan Church on Wednesday, 23rd November at 7.30pm, Tuesday, 6th December at 7.30pm, Sunday, 12th February at 10.45am and Sunday, 26th March at 10.45am.

  • Dress Down for Dyslexia Day took place on Friday, 28th October. We raised €320 for the local Dyslexia Workshop. Thanks to all who supported.
